Vassar was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. However, doctors were able to revive him after performing CPR.
A few months later, Vassar suffered a stroke. He was again rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead a second time.
This time, doctors were unable to revive Vassar. He was pronounced dead at the age of 54.
