Lyles Targets Sprint Double, Four Golds in Paris
American sprinter Noah Lyles has won the men's 100m at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Lyles crossed the line in a time of 9.86 seconds, ahead of compatriot Christian Coleman and Great Britain's Zharnel Hughes.
The victory marks Lyles' first gold medal at a major international championship and continues the United States' dominance in the men's 100m. No American had won the event since Maurice Greene in 2003.
