WEB Gukesh has emerged as one of India's brightest chess talents. At the tender age of 12 years, 7 months, and 17 days, he earned the prestigious Grandmaster (GM) title, becoming one of the youngest GMs in history.
Not only did Gukesh display exceptional skill at a young age, but he also broke another age record previously held by legendary chess player Garry Kasparov, becoming the youngest player to win the men's Candidates Tournament on April 22, 2024.
R Praggnanandhaa Joins the Fray
Joining Gukesh in this prestigious event is Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa R Praggnanandhaa. Praggnanandhaa has also demonstrated remarkable abilities, earning the Candidate Master title in 2015 and the International Master title in 2018 at the age of 11 years, 9 months, and 9 days.
